Description Job Purpose: The Purchasing Agent is responsible for supporting Maintenance and Maintenance Control with critical part requirements to fulfill variable demands that impact the operation of the airline initiating purchase orders, expediting existing orders and coordinating logistics to meet the current requirements. This includes AOGs, MELs, Deferred items, and Service Orders. Duties and Responsibilities: - Source and purchase all parts, materials, and tooling necessary to support 21 Air maintenance requirements. - Negotiate prices with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company. - Create purchasing orders and obtain approval from the Purchasing Manager to request payments and maintain receipts, records, and inventories. - Verify purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products ensuring that parts and materials are received with proper certifications and adhering to projects and budgets. - Evaluate suppliers by considering price quality, availability, and other criteria. - Expedite and route parts to and from maintenance aircraft in a timely manner to support all maintenance opera...
