Job Description Reports to the Planning Yard Design Section Manager. - Responsible for the supervision of the 1st shift design team, supporting both 3D and 2D deliverables, for execution of Planning Yard (PY) contract deliverables. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), this position ensures delivery of superior Life Cycle Services for multiple DDG 51 ships in the fleet. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership: - Promote a culture of proactive safety awareness and accountability across the team. - Ensure safe workplace conditions and compliance with company safety standards. - Maintain regular communications with staff as it relates to ergonomic and Ship check safety. Program Execution: - Oversee execution of the DDG 51 Planning Yard contract, ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements. - Ensures design tasks are completed to established schedule, cost, and quality parameters. - Inputs accurate and timely weekly work order status. - Develops ROM (Rough order of Magnitude) and GAF (Growth Authorization Form) design estimates. - Processes and verifies employee time accounting records and ensures required LMS trainings are completed ahead of schedule. - Man...
