Description Opportunity is Part Time 10:00am-3:00pm: Performs a wide variety of electro-neurodiagnostic studies including EEG, evoked potentials and specialized studies in the lab, and at the bedside of critically ill patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Community First Medical Center offers benefits to all its full-time and part-time employees: - Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner, according to the International 10 - 20 System. Ensures that electrode impedances meet standards. - Develops a comprehensive patient history by gathering information from patient, medical record and family members including seizure type, date of last seizure and other neurological symptoms. Provides patient and family education by explaining the procedure and purpose of the study and the report reading and turn around process. - Performs EEG record according to standards (routine, sleep, at bedside and electrocerebral silence recordings). - Implements alternate methods or adjusts controls to obtain optimal recording, including montage, electrode adjustment and activation procedure use.
