Welcome to CPAB – Canada’s Public Company Audit Regulator The Canadian Public Accountability Board oversees public accounting firms that audit Canadian reporting issuers. We promote audit quality through proactive regulation, robust audit assessments, dialogue with domestic and international stakeholders, and practicable insights that inform capital market participants and contribute to public confidence in the integrity of financial reporting. We do important work, and we need exceptional people on our team! We are recruiting for a Director, Inspections to join our inspections team in either Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver. You have the following qualifications: - A minimum of 10 years of recent progressive public company accounting and audit experience at a Big Four or other national accounting firm. - CPA designation is required. - In-depth technical knowledge of IFRS and Canadian Auditing Standards; US GAAP is also an asset. - Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills to effect change and positive outcomes. - Proficiency in French is required if applying for Montreal. - Ability to travel, approximately up to 6 weeks per year.
