Job Title: Security Guard Department: Security Dept. Reports to: Security Manager: Starting rate of pay: $18.25/hr: **Kaheka location starting rate of pay: $20.00/hr Security Guard Job Summary: A Security guard is to be alert to suspicious activity and safety issues on company property. You will present yourself in a professional manner acknowledging customers entering and leaving the store. The Security officer will also be required to travel to various stores to perform the above security functions. Essential Job Duties: - Maintain an alert and highly visible position at or near the main entrance in an effort to deter shoplifters, robberies, and other security problems. - Present yourself in a professional manner, acknowledging (greeting and thanking) customers entering and leaving the store. - Periodically walk outside the front entrance and visually survey the parking lot suspicious individuals, vehicles or activity. - Patrols the sales floor, especially in areas identified as potential targets of shoplifters. - Be aware of anyone entering the store with large bags, backpacks, etc. - Will be responsible for checking all boxes that leave the store. - Will make floor checks when...
