Job description

Pipefitter Hopkins | Lacy, the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing division of Branch is searching for a Pipefitter. Pipefitters will be responsible for laying, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial production and processing systems, applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints. Essential Functions: Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment such as supports, hangers and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications Inspect structures to avoid obstructions that may form as a result of the installation of piping Plans installation/repair to avoid interfering with other workers’ activities Install pipes in accordance with regulation guidelines and using a variety of hand and power tools, and equipment pieces. Cuts pipe using saw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine Threads pipe using pipe threading machine Bends pipe using pipe bending tools and pipe bending machine Assembles and installs a variety of metal (iron, steel, copper) and nonmetal (plastic) pipe...
