Quality Inspector - Days 7am - 7pm

Job description

Quality Inspectors are to inspect, test, verify, and validate product and product packaging to insure only acceptable product is shipped per our Customer specifications and /or governing party standards and requirements. Quality Inspectors are to isolate unacceptable product for repacking or scrap. Quality Inspectors must be committed to SQF, GMP and Food Safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Follow all plant policies and procedures including Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices and Safety Rules. - Perform quality checks on all lines three times per shift, and as needed. - Possess a well-rounded knowledge of quality on all products; must be able to identify and isolate any quality or food safety concerns. - Communicate within department and with Production/Warehouse/Maintenance regarding any problems or issues that need to be addressed as required. - Responsible to ensure that First Piece Inspections (FPI) are done in a timely manner and that the Quality Docket at line is correct and being followed. - Perform product testing as needed. - Able to operate the INSTRON machine for compression testing on all applicable finished products. - Must be able t...
