About This Opportunity The School of Social Science is seeking C asual A cademic s for Semester 2 2026. Casual Academic s make a rich and important contribution to the School’s academic, teaching and research endeavours through the provision of a range of academically focused services and activities. Casual Academic s may be engaged to fulfil a wide range of duties, including (but not limited to) lecturing; tutoring; marking; teaching; moderating/ facilitating and/or student advising; across multiple academic areas. Casual Academic s are paid according to the category of their duties, as detailed in UQ’s Enterprise Agreement. Casual Academic responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Lecturing/Teaching Tutoring and Coordinating Tutoring: Assisting Course Coordinators: Marking: What We Can Offer: Current School of Social Science HDR students can apply to undertake casual academic positions for the courses listed on the School of Social Science casual academics webpage .
