Description The University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is seeking one Assistant Professor without tenure (WOT) due to funding on the Clinician-Scholar pathway at 1.00 FTE for the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) and Harborview Medical Center (HMC). The Department of Emergency Medicine encompasses the UWMC-Montlake, the UWMC-Northwest Hospital (NWH), and the Harborview Medical Center Emergency Departments. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2026 or thereafter. Duties include the teaching of trainees, supervision of clinical care team within the UW Emergency Department(s). All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The UW DEM supports a 4-year Emergency Medicine Residency Program and several fellowships.
