Description The Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma (OU) invites applications for a full time, tenure track Assistant Professor appointment in theoretical Condensed Matter Physics (CMP), with an expected start in August 2026. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. About us: Our department has active research groups in Astronomy and Astrophysics; Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics; High Energy Physics; and CMP. OU hosts the Center for Quantum Research and Technology, an interdisciplinary research initiative established by support from donor endowments and the university. Existing research efforts at OU include the following: Quantum, Topological, and Strongly-Correlated Materials; Ultracold Atoms, Molecules, and Gases; Microelectronic, Photonic, and Quantum Devices; Quantum Optics; Precision Spectroscopy; and Quantum Information and Entanglement.
