DEPARTMENT: Civil Engineering POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool – Civil Engineering POSITION DETAILS: The Department of Civil Engineering serves nearly 800 undergraduate majors and more than 60 graduate students, offering both Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees in civil engineering. It was recently ranked 8th among non-doctorate granting institutions by U.S. News & World Report. The department continues to thrive, supported by a diverse student body and faculty, as well as strong connections with industry partners and alumni. We seek candidates for our part-time lecturer pool in all areas of Civil Engineering including Environmental Engineering; Transportation Engineering; Surveying; Engineering Graphics/CAD; Engineering Statistics; Hydraulics; Water Resources Engineering; Geotechnical Engineering; Structural Engineering, to teach both lower and upper division required and elective courses. Duties of a part-time lecturer include instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
