Senior Cost Accountant - Contract

Location: Richmond, BC (hybrid): *This is a temporary position, 10 month assignment. Job Summary: The Sr. Cost Accountant will be responsible for developing, implementing and/or maintaining a standard cost accounting system. They will prepare journal entries; maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, collect data, allocate costs and prepare reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, ensuring that established procedures are followed. They will also be responsible for preparing financial statements and variance reports as requested. Responsibilities: Accounting and Financial Reporting ( 34%) Inventory Accounting and Control ( 1%) - Review standard material, labor, subcon fees and overhead costs - Prepare journal entries and reconcile inventories to balance sheet - Analyze gross margin, other cost of sales, inventory trends and turnover ratios, and production yield data - Prepare audit schedules and footnote disclosures - Support business unit and manufacturing groups with cost, manufacturing and inventory analysis - Assist in complying with Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and internal control requirements - Work with Manufacturing to plan and conduct...
