Job description

Job Title: Coordinator- Logistics Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Linamar freight is carried by approved service providers that meet our service level requirements at the most competitive freight costs. Responsibility: - Forge relationships with carriers and build the existing carrier base. - Establish rate schedules and maintain and monitor compliance items. - Quote new business and negotiate carrier rates to ensure profitability. - Communicate with Customer Service about details of the loads that are assigned to outside carriers. - Ensure that all freight is picked up and delivered on time and at the correct location. - Ensure that all necessary customs documentation is in place. - Monitor shipments and communicate with appropriate staff when problems arise or there are changes made to the conditions of the contract. - Ensure that all load information, load changes or problems are inputted in the Fleet Manager system. - Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned to support logistics operations.
