Job description
Overview The Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist II will perform routine and extended EEG studies to support neurological diagnosis and research within the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and in the outpatient Sleep Electroencephalographic (EEG) Clinic. This role is responsible for electrode placement, patient monitoring, and data acquisition to ensure high‑quality recordings while maintaining patient comfort and safety, in collaboration with neurologists, neuroscientists, and research teams. Responsibilities: 1. Perform routine and extended EEG recordings, including application of scalp electrode caps, electrode digitization, and verification of appropriate impedance levels.2. Monitor recordings in real time to ensure data quality and artifact reduction.3. Complete activating procedures (i.e., hyperventilation and photic stimulation) including eliminating and/or properly monitoring physiological and non-physiological artifacts; reviewing, evaluating, mapping, and classifying impressions of Ictal, Interictal, and Paroxysmal events from EEG/video data; annotating event(s) occurring during daily scanning; and editing and archiving EEG/video data, documentation, and ma...
