S enior Network Engineer Status: Exempt (Salaried): Department: 115 – Information Technology: Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Director of Infrastructure Architecture, Engineering and Operations, this position supports the 24x7 Global Network Operations for Plug Power and its diverse business units through meticulously planning, documenting, and executing best practices for wireless and wired network services and systems. This is an industrial manufacturing network engineering position , requiring physical abilities and ability to work in very extreme temperature environments , potential heights of 50-60 feet along with roof installations and to participate in activities in OSHA regulated environments such as manufacturing and hydrogen production facilities. In addition, this role will support Plug’s product manufacturing with fiber runs and splicing in products, setup of telemetry and tracking systems through Wi-Fi, stabilization and improvement of cellular data and wi-fi communications, setup , management, and support of installed equipment (firewalls, routers, switches, IPC’s ).
