Job Summary: Under the general supervision and at the direction of the attending physician, cardiovascular-thoracic surgeon, member of the medical staff, and Chief Perfusionist, be responsible for the operation of the heart-lung machine, intra-aortic balloon, cell saver, Gem 6 Analyzer, and Hemotech ACT, Hepcon Heparin Management system, blood gas analyzer, coagulation management devices, ventricular assist devices, Intra-operative blook component separation devices, etc. Essential Functions: All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Be the difference Confers with surgeons regarding the nature of the procedure to be performed and gather necessary information about the patient to be used in conjunction with the operation of the heart-lung machine.
