Summary Responsible for the inspection of new and existing construction for compliance with adopted building codes and local ordinances to establish that requirements for life, health, safety and welfare of building occupants and the general public are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned . Perform combination inspections, primarily building, mechanical, plumbing and electrical. Perform inspections of new and existing residential, commercial, multi-family projects and all associated structures while under construction to ensure compliance with adopted codes and ordinances. Perform inspections of existing buildings to verify compliance with requirements for Certificates of Occupancy. Reviews inspection requests and determines daily inspection assignments for all inspectors. Review third party inspection and engineering reports/documents for compliance with approved plans and adopted codes. Use computerized permit tracking system to research and view building permit records and to obtain daily inspection schedules, create inspection routes, and accurately enter inspection results Provide computerized and/or written inspection...
