Patient Care Technician - Acute Internal Medicine Unit (4/5 South) - 100% Day Shifts - No weekends - ( 26003054 ) Description The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians for the Acute Medicine Unit (4/5 South) within the Medical Surgical Services (MSS) Division . Our Medical-Surgical Services Division is one of the largest in the hospital, with more than 260 of our 811 beds assigned to medical-surgical care settings. The Adult Acute Internal Medicine Units (4/5 South) are both 13-bed, general medicine inpatient units that serve patients with multiple diagnoses and co-morbidities, providing general care to adult and geriatric patient populations. You will work with multiple different medical services that may include but not limited to: family practice, internal medicine, cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, wound care, infectious disease and oncology.
