Job Description Summary The Metallic Materials Application Engineer provides materials expertise and technical leadership for multiple material systems across a variety of components. The focus of this role is the development and application of metallic materials and processes across a variety of aviation components within the supply chain. In this role you will work with new products and legacy teams to solve complex technical problems. This role has a direct effect on short-term and some long-term business goals. The role requires horizontal partnership with design, sourcing, and quality to ensure robust technical solutions for the customer. Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities: Materials and process definition: Supplier support including review and approval of significant process changes, substantiation of nonconformances and cost reductions. Material property assessments that enable product improvements and destructive analysis of manufactured, engine tested and fielded hardware.
