Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have twenty-three locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special. We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Indianapolis, IN . Warehouse Associates retrieve, restock, load, and unload material in the wood industry, including, but not limited to, particleboard, high-pressure laminate, wood finishes and stains, solid surfaces, and other professional woodworking supplies. Job Responsibilities: • Proficiently pulling customer orders for next day delivery and customer pick-up. Requirements/Qualifications: • Proven warehouse experience (minimum 1 year) Preferred Qualifications: • Great interpersonal skills – a team player - Effectively unloading inbound freight by either hand or forklift, verifying the dropped-off material, and entering items into the system. - Restocking and verifying inventory in proper bin locations. - Maintaining a healthy warehouse environment. - Prior experience and ability to operate a fork...
