Job description

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions. Our Integration Technicians support the assembly, integration, and testing of parts and systems of our Tunnel Boring Machines. The schedule can be 48-60 hours/week, and includes underground work. Responsibilities: - Perform the build and assembly of mechanical and hydraulic systems, subsystems, and components such as valves, manifolds, and pumps. - Build, crimp, and test hydraulic hose assemblies. - Fabricate and install fluid system components from an engineering schematic or drawing. - Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair tunnel equipment, including the tunnel boring machine. - Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul mechanical systems such as pumps, chillers, or gearboxes. - Support excavation/boring operations up to and including the erection/build of tunnel support lining utilizing a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). - Work underground and...
