Summary: Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC (“the Firm”) as a Trust and Estates Paralegal are under the general supervision of the attorneys to whom assigned, as well as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Trust and Estates Paralegal at the Firm include but are not limited to: - Follow the ethical requirements in order to assist in the handling of an estate, preparation of tax returns, or other legal functions; - Knowledge of probate, trust administration, conservatorship, guardianship and estate planning laws and concepts; - Exposure to the preparation of simple tax returns; - Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and excellent proofreading skills; - Operate standard office equipment such as photocopiers, fax software, personal computer, typewriter. Qualifications , Skills and Abilities Required: - A Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal certificate or CPA are highly recommended.
