Nursing Aide - Transport

Shift: Days, 7:00am to 7:30pm and every other weekend required. Job type: Full Time: Hours: 12: GENERAL DUTIES: The Transporter reports to the Transport Supervisor or designee for daily clinical supervision and receives assignments from Transport Supervisor or designee. The Transporter provides safe, efficient, and timely transfers and discharges of patients from nursing units, and ensures equipment is located in the appropriate areas. The Transporter will remain immediately available via the SpectraLink phone system, or communication device that has been implemented and maintains a high level of customer service as detailed in the customer service plan. Access to demographic information and limited patient health information related to job function. Required: - Acknowledges and communicates any malfunction of equipment to the Supervisor - All Transport personnel will adhere to hospital guidelines of grooming and general appearance - All Transport personnel will wear the required uniform and clean athletic shoes - Cleans and prepares gurneys, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks or other medical equipment after patient transfers/discharge (or as needed) in a timely manner - Communicate with p...
