Summary: Skilled hands-on operator that sets up, tends, and maintains fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, brakes, and punch presses that cut, shape, and bend metal plates and sheets by performing the following duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Capable of performing essential duties and responsibilities of Fabricating Machine Operator reads shop work orders to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Understands bend allowances, thickness tolerances, and machine tonnage requirements. Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Performs minor daily and weekly machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, refilling fluids, checking filters and general cleaning assigned per the preventative maintenance system.
