Job Description Maintains the Trauma Registry Database, including clinical case review, data retrieval and collection, statistics, analysis, and presentation of internal and external data. Collaborates with the leadership in identifying and trending quality issues. Job Responsibility: - Provides concurrent and retrospective patient tracking using data abstraction on all Trauma Registry Candidates. - Identifies all trauma admissions, transfers, and deaths, using clinical identifiers and strict inclusion/exclusion criteria defined by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). - Retrieves trauma data through downloads from trauma data sources. - Abstracts clinical information based on guidelines from ACS, including the identification of all injuries, procedures, complications, and outcomes. - Maintains a system for data integrity to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of the database. - Collects, reviews, and analyzes trauma data to provide reports of trauma statistics and quality improvement filters. - Prepares quarterly, regional, Quality Reports including Trauma - Injury Severity Score (TRISS) Cases, transfers, and death cases, and any indicator screen variances. - Gene...
