Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC: Job Summary/Purpose: The Accounts Receivable Accountant (Cash Applications) is responsible for accurately applying customer payments to outstanding invoices, maintaining clean and up‑to‑date receivable records, and supporting the overall cash flow process. This role ensures timely and precise posting of cash receipts, resolves payment discrepancies, and collaborates with internal teams to maintain high-quality financial data. The role also contributes meaningfully to project initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts. Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Post daily cash receipts (ACH, wire, lockbox, credit card, checks) to customer accounts and open invoices. - Reconcile payment remittances to ensure accurate application and identify short pays, overpayments, and unapplied cash. - Research and resolve discrepancies, including missing remittances, unidentified payments, and customer account issues. - Maintain accurate AR records, ensuring all transactions are posted in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. - Communicate with internal and external customers regarding payment details, missin...
