Senior Pharmacy Technician, Adult Satellite AM - ( 26002470 ) Description The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Pharmaceutical Care, is seeking a full-time Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Adult Satellite team. Under general supervision of a pharmacist, performs activities associated with supporting central pharmacy services including assisting with training programs, monitoring compliance with established policies and procedures, inventory control and special projects as assigned. Will work in OR and Adult Satellite Pharmacy. Coordinates daily functions of Pharmacy Technician (Certified/Trainees) to meet service needs as identified by the pharmacist. Provides supervision to Pharmacy Technicians. Serves as in-charge person of work area in the absence of the pharmacist; determines priorities, and triages questions and needs. Provides orientation and on-the-job training of new technicians. Provides instruction, evaluates performance, and follows up on training needs. Provides input into technician performance evaluations.
