Respiratory Therapist 60% Weeknights - (Downtown Campus) - ( 26002611 ) Description The University of Iowa Health Care Downtown Campus department of Respiratory Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist. This position will be responsible for respiratory therapy duties including oxygen and aerosol therapy, administration of specialty gases, application of ventilators, arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, implement patient driven protocols, and other duties as assigned. Consult with and assist physicians and nurses with respiratory care plan for patients and facilitate the implementation of the physician's orders. Emergency Department staff may also cross train to assist with patient assessment, treatment protocols, EKGs, lines and labs and serve as a resource to the inpatient units. *Respiratory Therapists must be a graduate of a Commission of Accreditation Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved program.
