Assistant Meat Manager

MUST HAVE MEAT CUTTING EXPERIENCE: $23.84 - $25.34 PER HOUR: GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to assist the Meat Manager with keeping the meat department running properly and profitably. This person will be responsible for knowing all aspects of the meat department and being able to fill in for any position when necessary and training new meat department associates. All while providing exceptional customer service. This person will also assist in determining production and inventory levels for the meat department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ◦ Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of the meat department based on past and projected sales ◦ Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner ◦ Sets a professional and positive example to others ◦ Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Fresh Meat ◦ Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained ◦ Active member of the Safety Committee which helps ensure the safety of both Customers and Associates ◦ Writing the meat department schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals ◦ Teaches, mentors, and educates meat...
