SUMMARY: The 3rd Class Heating Plant Chief manages a High Temp Hot Water Central Heating Plant and Supervises a team of five Stationary Engineers who work a rotating 12hr shift pattern. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: People Leadership: Demonstrates strong, competent leadership for a multi-trade team, guiding members to reach their full potential and meet performance objectives in support of our corporate goals. Specifically, these responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Full involvement with recruiting talent. - Provides mentoring, coaching and guidance to all team members. - Objectively recommends compensation adjustments. - Manages all aspects of performance - Manage a five (5) man shift team during the heating season and summer shutdown. - Manage 24/7 coverage for the plant during the heating season. - Oversee water treatment in closed loop heating systems across the site. Transportation Services: - Monitors and enforces compliance to all internal and external requirements. - Conducts field inspections, job observations, audits and other types of reviews to monitor compliance to requirements and to identify risks. - Communicates observations, non-compliance and risks...
