Salary/Position Classification: - $16.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) - 4-10 hours hours per week - 100% Remote Work Availability: No - Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No Purpose of Position: This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. Assist with engineering design research on geothermal-powered corn drying systems funded by the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council (NDCUC). The project develops engineering designs that use Williston Basin geothermal resources to replace propane in commercial-scale corn drying systems for North Dakota corn producers. Duties & Responsibilities: - Data compilation and organization. - Literature review support on grain drying engineering and geothermal applications. - Basic calculations under graduate student supervision. - Vendor research and contact information compilation. - Preparation of graphics and figures for reports and presentations. - Assistance with technology transfer materials production. - Assist with other duties when needed.
