Rust-Oleum Corporation is a worldwide leader in protective paints and coatings for both home and industry. We offer a wide product range including decorative fashion paints, durable industrial roof repair coatings and, of course, the famous rust-fighting formula that started it all. The primary result expected from the Materials Manager will be to plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, schedulers, and related workers by purchasing equipment, components, supplies, raw materials, or semi-finished materials for the manufacturing of paint and coatings. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: - Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. - Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing raw materials, equipment, finished goods, and supplies. - Interview staff and oversee staff training. - Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales. - Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. - Develop and implement purchasing and contract manage...
