General Maintenance Technician

Job description

The General Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of general maintenance functions, including but not limited to; apartment turns, patching and painting walls, equipment and plumbing repairs, facility cleaning, and carpentry repairs. Responsibilities/Tasks/Duties: - Install a variety of flooring materials - Repair furniture - Patch and paint walls - Install and maintain door closers, locksets and passage sets - Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment - Install bulletin boards and writing boards - Emergency Generator Inspection and Test - Sprinkler Piping Systems Inspection and Test - Snow Removal - Roof Inspections - Plumbing Repair and Maintenance - General Mechanical Repair and Maintenance - Complete apartment unit turns - General cleaning of facility. Common areas, amenity spaces, parking garage, ect. - Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements: - Three to five years experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a commercial/industrial facility - Ability to perform a variety of carpentry related tasks - Capable of performing plumbing repairs and maintaining facility equipment - Familiar with surface preparation and painting drywall, wood, and m...
