Overview Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values . Performs ultrasound examinations of the heart and vessels to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the cardiovascular system. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions: 6. Completes other duties or task as assigned. - Knowledgeable of and selects appropriate ultrasound equipment for echocardiogram procedures and vascular procedures. - Monitors sound waves for quality of ultrasonic patterns and documents on appropriate media to obtain a permanent record of examination. - Consults with physicians as required regarding collection of test data and critical test results. - Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Inspects equipment daily to ensure it is operating effectively. Reports malfunctions. - Collaborates effectively with other members of healthcare team concerning pertinent patient information and interventions needed.
