Job description

The Medical Director plays a critical leadership role within Thresholds and reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer. This position provides strategic, clinical, and administrative oversight of psychiatric services across the organization. The Medical Director ensures that all psychiatric care meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and member-centered practice, while advancing Thresholds’ mission and guiding a team of physicians, psychiatric practitioners, and care coordination staff. Essential Duties and Collaborative Responsibilities: - Ensure a comprehensive system for delivering psychiatric services to eligible members. - Develop and uphold standards for quality of care and medical documentation. - Establish and maintain adequate psychiatric staffing levels across programs. - Provide timely and accurate updates to Thresholds leadership and consult with psychiatric staff as needed. - Recruit, supervise, and evaluate physicians, residents, and medical students; oversee peer review and credentialing processes. - Lead and support the Nurse Care Coordination team. - Participate in organizational committees including Compliance, High Risk, and CQI activities. - Deve...
