Job Description Supervises and coordinates the staff and daily operations of the Laundry and Linen department. Facilitates laundry washing procedures and distribution of clean linen to patient areas. Job Responsibility: - Promotes Linens department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. - Leads the activities of assigned Linens team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives. - Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner. - Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors work to optimize operational service. - Analyzes, recommends, implements, and monitors approved work-flow changes. - Ensures timely execution of all procedures to facilitate availability of linen and garments in proper hospital areas. - Inspects laundry after washing to ensure correct amounts of soap, bleach, and softener have been used. - Monitors washed linen for stains and tears, returning laundry back for additional cleaning or repairs, as needed. - Evaluates laundry equipment, checking for proper air temperature, steam pressure and temperature...
