Facility HealthPlex Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina Department: Healthplex Job Family: Professional Work Shift: Variable (United States of America) Summary: Responsible for the development of a safe and effective exercise prescription. Ensures safe exercise therapy, by proper patient orientation and supervision, and with ongoing monitoring of patient’s clinical status. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Assesses patients’ risk factors that are modifiable and offers support and strategies to aid patient in successful therapeutic lifestyle changes Participates in educational efforts, classes, and/or individual instruction Develops and adjusts individual exercise prescription Supervises exercise session, monitoring patients for inappropriate responses to exercise Assesses patient pre, during and post exercise making appropriate referrals and/or recommendations to patients, other staff, and primary care physician and/or medical director Immediately reports any new, chang...
