Nature and Scope The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely submission of billing claims. Also responsible for the timely follow-up of unpaid inpatient, outpatient and clinic claims. Provides appropriate medical documentation to the insurance carrier and pulls primary Explanation of Benefits for secondary insurance carrier billing. Location: Remote: Compensation: Compensation Philosophy: - We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience Compensation Range: - $19.83- $25.31 / hour Job Status / Shift Information: Full-Time, Benefited: Qualifications: Required Experience: - Experience with managed care contracts. - Ability to calmly deal with stressful situations. Preferred Experience: - Two years’ experience in a health care environment. - Previous medical insurance billing experience.
