Description Medical Assistant – Physical Therapy: Position Summary: The Medical Assistant – Physical Therapy supports Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting with treatment preparation, patient flow, and administrative duties. This role ensures an efficient clinical environment while providing excellent patient service and support throughout the therapy process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for patient therapy sessions - Assist Physical Therapists with patient care under direct supervision, including positioning patients and supporting therapeutic exercises - Escort patients to and from treatment areas and ensure timely patient flow - Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment rooms between patients in accordance with infection control standards - Monitor and restock clinical supplies and notify management of inventory needs - Assist with applying modalities as directed (e.g., heat, ice, electrical stimulation) within scope of practice - Observe patients during therapy and report any concerns or changes to the Physical Therapist - Document patient interactions and assist with maintaining a...
