Job description

The University of Maine System is accepting applications for a Finance Associate . This position supports the Chief Business Officer in the oversight of budgetary operations at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI), including financial analysis and financial management. A few of the essential duties include, but are not limited to: Monitors and adjusts the financial accounting system which is integrated or linked with associated systems (e.g., human resources, student financial aid, student information, advancement, accounts payable, and accounts receivable). Monitors budget for actual fiscal performance. Processes all budget transfers and adjustments and processes journal vouchers as required. Performs account reconciliations as necessary. Analyzes Position Management (a software system for workforce planning and budgeting) including all aspects of base budgeted positions. Assists in position creation/deletion, initial position funding, position budgeting and making all ongoing funding changes to established positions, including across-the-board, promotional, post tenure, cohort and wage band increases.
