Position Summary The In-Room Dining Cashier is responsible for taking accurate guest orders by phone, entering orders into the POS system, coordinating service with the kitchen and delivery staff, and providing exceptional guest service. This role requires menu knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to upsell food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue. Key Responsibilities Essential Duties: - Answer in-room dining calls promptly and professionally. - Accurately enter guest orders into the POS system, including special requests and dietary needs. - Describe menu items, preparation methods, and pricing to guests. - Recommend and upsell food and beverage items. - Ensure orders are posted to the correct guest account. - Coordinate with servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders. - Process guest payments and close transactions accurately. - Balance all payment methods and reconcile sales reports. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas. - Follow all hotel safety policies and procedures, including PPE and HAZMAT guidelines. - Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or maintenance concerns to managemen...
