SCADA Engineer

Job description

As a SCADA Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, integration, delivery, and commissioning of SCADA, IT, and cybersecurity systems across large-scale renewable energy projects. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of grid-connected renewable energy assets. You will define system requirements, risks, and architecture following EPC award, and develop conceptual SCADA and communications designs for tendering and execution. You will also manage SCADA and IT subcontractors to ensure delivery is compliant with technical, contractual, and project requirements. Working closely with OEMs, TNSPs, AEMO, and internal project teams, you will ensure seamless system integration and alignment with grid connection standards. You will oversee testing and commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, and end-to-end system validation. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and stakeholder coordination, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, quality assurance, and optimising system performance throughout the project lifecycle.
