Job Summary: Under the direction of the Elmhurst Service Group Leader, the Material Handler is an entry level training position which ultimately will lead to being assigned to a work cell at the Service Center for the purpose of supporting the Cell Lead Operator in processing Customer Orders in an efficient and timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - During an employee’s tenure at this position, they shall receive training as a material handler. - Follows direction of “trainer”. - Provides “feedback” to trainer to assess competency level. - Adheres to all safety procedures & rules. - Adheres to all quality procedures at the facility. - Processes orders in an effective and efficient manner. - Operates equipment to ensure the highest quality standard, while maintaining an effective productivity rate. - Participates in equipment maintenance duties as required. - Continually inspects finished product for conformance to customer & materion standards & requirements. - Takes appropriate action to prevent escape of “non-conforming” material. - Maintains work area in a neat, clean, and org...
