Description Union Electric Steel Corporation is seeking a Millwright for our Valparaiso, IN manufacturing plant. This is an hourly position and applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends, as required. Applicant must also be able to provide documentation of millwright status. The Millwright will inspect, repair, replace, and install as well as maintain all mechanical equipment in the facility. Candidates must be capable of maintaining industrial equipment, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layout, fabrication and welding, diagnosing machine failure, reading blueprints and diagrams, hydraulics and pneumatic and machining procedures as well as provide a valid Journeyman Millwright card/certificate or show equal skilled trade status. This is an hourly position in a unionized setting and individuals must be willing to work all shifts and weekends, as required. Primary Function: To inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant.
