Job Summary The Barista / Cashier is responsible for creating a personable and memorable experience for all guests by providing them with top-notch service, quality beverages and food, as well as ensuring the café is a comfortable environment for all customers. Duties & Responsibilities: Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience - Consistently provide quality beverages and food by following FIFO (first in, first out) procedures, reviewing expiration dates and inspecting for freshness. - Operate cash register to handle food and beverage transactions. - Ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner - Ensure products are labeled, stocked and organized in the café. - In-depth knowledge of all food and beverage products sold and their ingredients. - Highlight café items and recommend pairings to customers based on purchases. - Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge always. - Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods or atypical events. - Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language.
