Job description

Under the direction of a Design Engineer, as a CAD Designer, you are responsible for 2D & 3D modeling, drafting and detailing of engineered precast concrete products using CAD software. Provide intermediate knowledge on general building construction and precast concrete products, as well as supporting engineering, production and sales by developing submittal packages and manufacturing documentation. Responsibilities: - Produce precast concrete wet/dry utility design drawings and detailing using Solidworks (preferred). - Have a working understanding of applicable code requirements for underground structures. - Create submittal packages, proposal drawings and production drawing sets. - Produce Bill of Materials from manufacturing instructions and drawings. - Provide quality review of prepared drawings prior to submittal or production release. - Provide technical support to project managers and sales teams for submittal packages, quotes and orders. - Provide continual improvement and product development suggestions as part of a collaborative team. - All other duties as assigned.
