onsemi is seeking a High Voltage Technician for the Central Utility Plant (CUP) Facilities team in Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill, NY. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our site-wide high-voltage electrical distribution systems. The ideal candidate is skilled in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of medium- (480V and 208/120V) and high- (480V-13.2 kV) voltage equipment and is committed to maintaining strict safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, including substations, switchgears, circuit breakers, transformers, VFDs, and motor starters. Execute high-voltage switching operations in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols. Support electrical infrastructure upgrades, system expansions, breaker replacements, and equipment commissioning activities. Diagnose equipment failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
