Position Summary: The Day Camp Floater position supports counselors and program leaders in providing a safe, fun, and engaging summer camp experience for children ages 5 – 11. This seasonal role helps supervise campers during daily activities and field trips, assists with program activities, and supports the overall care and well-being of participants. The assistant follows all safety, Safe From Harm, and childcare licensing guidelines, helps manage camper behavior, keeps program areas clean and organized, and participates ins scheduled activities, meetings and trainings throughout the day camp season. Qualifications: Education/Experience: - Assist in supervising an assigned group of youth ages 5-11 on site and on field trips. - Assist with the care and well-being of program participants and be aware of and follow all safety precautions and procedures, administering emergency first aid as needed and recording such treatment with proper documentation. - Responsible for knowing Safe From Harm program guidelines and following them. - Responsible for adhering to state childcare licensing guidelines, as instructed by supervisors. - Assist with mediating any behavior problems between cam...
