Job Title: Library Aide Starting Rate: $11.90 per hour: Location / Department: Yellow Springs Community Library Reports to: Youth Services Librarian: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt: Hours: Variable, 15-20 hours per week (schedule includes daytime, evening and weekend hours) Job Objective: To promote the mission and values of the Greene County Public Library. To carry out objectives and goals of the strategic plan to better serve the community. To perform routine shelving and organizing of materials. To perform basic repair of materials. Requirements: Essential Job Functions: - Organizes and shelves library materials. - Pulls requested library materials from shelves - Files magazines. - Organizes magazine collection. - Maintains orderly appearance shelves - Cleans, recovers, and makes minor repairs to library materials. - Files movies or cart of mixed materials as needed. - Attends conferences, workshops, seminars, and training to maintain knowledge as reflected in the training curriculum. - Keeps abreast of information by regularly reading email, minutes, the staff website and by attending staff meetings. - The supervisor may require other related duties.
