Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Unit Secretary/Patient Care Technician - Critical Care Location: Arlington Heights, IL: Full time, 36 hours/week: Hours: 6:00pm-6:30am, Every other weekend: Required Travel: No: What you will do: Orders special care equipment for the patient utilizing unit protocol and hospital computer information systems. Analyzes documents to ensure department specific requirements have been met prior to entering equipment orders or sending appropriate documents to HIM for scanning. Continually updates electronic medical information vital for patient care. When applicable ensures unit specific patient charges are entered into the appropriate information system. Triages physician and inter-department questions and resolves or refers to appropriate staff as needed. Performs customer service support utilizing the AIDET approach, answering telephones and may escort patients to treatment areas. Provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
